Cat McCarrey
2013-2014 Season: Almost Human, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Crazy Ones, Dracula, The Goldbergs, The Millers, Reign, Sleepy Hollow, Welcome to the Family.
Cat: the allure of a hyperactive kitten with the soul of an angry, eighty-five year old woman. Ladies and gentlemen, it doesn't get better than this.
Cat spent a childhood running around the mountains of the Wasatch Front, pretending to be Indiana Jones and whatever character the latest Brian Jacques book was about. As the youngest of six (and practically an only child, thanks to a seven year age gap), Cat quickly learned that her only source of entertainment and possibly friendship were things found in her imagination. She became an avid escapist, and this tendency never fully abandoned her. It just translated its way into watching more movies, reading more books, and learning more about the wonderful world of television.
Her quest in life has always been to convince others that her interests are the best. With this in mind, she set out to become a teacher. Cat's teaching goals involved persuading students that the Coen Brothers are the greatest and that whatever pop band they're listening to is literally the decline of all civilization.
After earning a degree in English Teaching--where her senior thesis was naturally about the use of television in the classroom--Cat married a man with an impressive beard and moved to Seattle. In Seattle she taught Humanities at a private middle school for gifted children. She soon learned that 5th graders are a strange and exhausting creature, and their unique brand of madness drove her to move to Boston. She is pursuing a Masters degree in Journalism at Boston University, because the wider audience of the media seems like a much more practical way to take over the world. So far, she's learned that bluffing can easily convince people that you know what you're doing.
Her ultimate dream is to get paid to watch TV and complain about society.
